Default Bowhunting Turkey

Who is bow hunting Turkey this fall? What is your broadhead of choice? Anyone ever use the Gobbler Guillotine? I would love to take a Turkey with the bow.

I shot the guillotines for a couple of seasons & this season shot the Magnus Bullheads & as far as the way they fly there's no comparison...the bullheads are BADDDD!!! Just need to figure out a better way to carry them around(won't fit in my quiver)...lol

Default Fall Turkey

Most Of Your Good Quality 3 Or 4 Blade Broadheads Will
Work Fine If They Are Tuned True & You Are Confident In
Your Shot Selection . ( Fixed Blades Work Best For Me )

I use the same heads I deer hunt with. Shoot for the neck, it's either miss or kill. I've taken 22 with a bow, had 3 fly over 200 yards when shot thru the spine between the legs and wings, if they can flap their wings they can fly, legs or not.

The "kill" is no larger than the neck/head anyway, you can actually see where the head and neck is....

Gonna pass on the birds this year, due to a dispute with the KDFW. I get shots every year, but it's always a miss(albiet nearly). I enjoy talking to them in the fall and find them easier to call( and fall shotgunning is downright easy!)

You've peaked my curiosity ---- "dispute"?

They are easy to call in the fall, and decoy too. Lots of eyes can bust you though....

Out of fairness to the Dept I won't go in details, but it concerned how I felt about the management of a WMA. Allowing 4 wheelers, neighboring landowners to gun hunt the area while it was closed to the rest of the state and even allowing cattle to roam the area and use the ponds. I attempted to get the situation fixed, but ruffled some feathers of the boys at the top.
