Default Great Shootout at Clover Creek 1/27/2008!

Thaks to everyone that was able to make it out to the First Annual kyhuntnfish.com Shootout today at Clover Creek! I had a great time as I am sure everyone did. Jeff and Chris did a great job hosting us and the birds were flying very well. We had 10 altogether this year and went out in groups of five. Both groups hunts were filmed so look for video clips soon. To those that were unable to attend you were sorely missed but thats ok, we will be doing it again (God willing) next year on Saturday 1/31/2009 so go ahead and mark your calendars now!

After the mornings hunt we went back to the lodge and pigged out on Rabbit Stew, Venison Roast, Venison BBQ and a variety of sides. Thanks Bighead for bringing the Rabbit Stew and Venison. After lunch and trying not to go into a food coma sitting on the couch by the wood burner we went to the tower field and sprayed lead at high flying clay pigeons.

Steve (KYDeerBuddy) and Mike (ShadShooter) are sharing the award for most destructive shot although Steve gets the slight edge. #6 1 1/4 Oz loads do a number on a Pheasant at 8 yards... But he did manage to miss the breasts!
Pictures of the hunt are being placed in the following Gallery.

Here is the group

Default Actually.....

Actually it's not a sign, I'm holding a cup of my famous "Prince Albert Coffee". Tastes like crap but will keep you up for days and doubles as a laxative.

Actually we were practicing Karate. You see, that is a round house kick that is being sucessfully defendes by the grab and slam technique.

Thats my story and I am sticking to it..... lol
