I figured this would be a good way to keep up with hunting and do a journal. Got up this morning at 5 and beat around and got together with dad and left the house. We sat and talked a good long while till about 7 and finally went on stand. Saw a bunch of squirrels and while on the way out I bumped some turkey and they flew right over dad. that was about it for the morning. Will not hunt this evening.

I am taking this week off. It is spring break and historically I have always taken it off with the girls. I have only one girl left at home now and for the most part I am not cool enought to hang with so I plan to do some bowyering and Dad has got a few things planned for me as well. I would usually get some fishing in this week. Chelsey likes to fish if the fish are biting but the daggone water is so mucked up around here I doubt you could find any crappie if you tried. May still go one morning...

Well acutally it was a target, tonight was Waverly Archers banquet and the had some old targets and stuff to auction and I got the turkey and a buck deer for 50 bucks. I think I did pretty good.
Waverly is stuggling a bit with membership and hope that if we get a shoot or two up this year I would like to see some of you folks there. I am actually the vice pres right now so I done went and did something I said I would not do, but this is the oldest archery club in the state which means something....

I have been sitting here poking on this computer in the big city of chicago and using my daughters laptop. I hate the keyboards on laptops. Anyway I had a whole bunch of stuff lots of profound thoughts and observations that probabably make some of you think I deserved the nobel peace prize but lo and behold I hit something on this smallish keyboard and flushed all of it. Some much for the prize. Oh well I need to get over to the educating place and get ready for a long day. I will keep in touch....
